Anyone who calls Crime Stoppers receives complete anonymity. Crime Stoppers assigns each caller a special code number. After the informant leaves their tip, they are asked to call back after a period of time. At that time the caller would give their code numberand they would be informed if any charges had been made as a result of their tip. If so, the informant may be eligible for a cash reward.

No one (not even us) will ever know who the informant is!

Crime Stoppers is governed by a volunteer civilian Board of Directors who represent the various communities that the program serves. It is a non-profit organization, relying on the cooperation of law enforcement agencies, news media and our local citizens and business communities.

Solving crimes is a concern to us all. We are faced with rising prices whether for insurance or the cost of merchandise to pay for the costs that thieves and cheats or fraud artists have caused. We need you to be involved and to spread the word about Crime Stoppers. We all live in this community and we have to work to keep it a safe place to live in and raise our children. Police can not solve the crime by themselves. You people live in the community and may see the cars and the people continually going to a residence for only a couple of minutes, in and our every Friday night. Or the fellow who has a garage full of TV’s and you have information where everyone goes to get real cheap used goods. Even if the information doesn’t lead to an arrest or a charge it is good information for the police to have and they may be able to charge this individual at a later date and time. Your tip may be the piece of the puzzle police need to solve a crime.

We are interested in all manner of crime against property, persons, family, the children and the elderly. It could be information about someone you believe is selling drugs, vandalism, break and enters, possession of stolen property or a traffic complaint that someone is driving without a licence or insurance. Internet crimes including fraud are a growing concern. Child abuse both domestically and online including luring and sexual interference are of interest to agencies across the country. Not finally, we are interested in both wildlife crimes such as poaching and domestic cruelty to animals, pets or livestock.

If "something" doesn't feel right to you, then please contact Crime Stoppers' operators. They are professionals trained in listening and gathering details. They in-turn will refer your information to the proper police agency, who are best equipped to investigate and evaluate the law. Of course, your query will be forever anonymous & confidential and eligible for a cash award.

  • They will ask you to tell them as much about what you are calling about as you can
  • They will then ask you more questions to try and assist the officer in solving the crime, such as description of suspect, and others involved
  • If it is about drugs, details such as type, quantity, prices and location
  • They will ask about unique features in the residence or around it
  • Threats to the officer ie., dogs, weapons or known criminal history
  • Vehicles descriptions, licence plates or color

The extent to which you are able to supply information & details is an important factor in determining the value of the anonymous cash award.
